Marquês de Sapucaí, in Rio - the city of samba
It’s already Carnaval in Rio - Samba schools have traditional yearly technical rehearsals at Marquês de Sapucaí, and they are the perfect opportunity to get to know the groups and pick your favorite.
Rehearsals go from January to February, up to the week just before Carnival. The party is free and will surely bring a lot of fun to your weekend.
The Technical Rehearsals starts in 8th January with the Whriling Ladies Ceremony at 7pm. Then the program keep going Friday 13rd January and every Saturday and Sunday (14, 15, 21, 22, 28, 29) January.
February – In the first two weeks of February there’s technical Rehearsals from Friday to Sunday (03, 04, 05, 10, 11, 12) February.
